Priya Sharma – Raised £675 for Amigos Worldwide
Priya, a regular at her local pub in Tiverton, persuaded the landlord to hand over the venue for one Tuesday evening and turned it into a sell-out charity quiz night. She wrote 60 questions herself, organised a raffle with 14 prizes donated by local businesses, and recruited her husband and two friends to run the bar tables. Forty-two people squeezed in on the night and the atmosphere was electric. “I just wanted to do something I actually enjoyed,” Priya laughed, “and it turns out a lot of people in Tiverton are very competitive about General Knowledge.”
