Graham Hendricks – Raised £1,580 for Amigos Worldwide
Graham had walked sections of the South West Coast Path for years, but completing 50 miles in a single 24-hour push was in a different league entirely. Setting off from Minehead at dawn, he walked through two sunsets and a full the day and into the night, wearing through two pairs of socks and relying on a head torch for eight hours in the dark. Friends, family and colleagues tracked his progress online and donations flooded in through the night. “At about 3am, somewhere near Woolacombe, I genuinely didn’t know if I’d make it,” Graham admitted. “Then a donation came in from my old headmaster. That kept my legs going.”
