Visit to Amigos Uganda
This month, three members of the Amigos UK team, Tim, Jodie and Kayte, visited Uganda, spending time on Kira Farm Development Centre and visiting Masindi to see Amigos’ work partnering with local communities.

Amigos have been running successful school and group trips to Uganda for more than 15 years. We take care of all the details and provide a life changing experience for students and other visitors.
Experience a unique insight
Giving a unique opportunity to experience Uganda in an intimate way that few other trips can offer. Our number one priority is safety and arranging a bespoke trip at the right cost. A trip that will change visitors lives by giving them the chance to meet people and experience Uganda culture in a personal way, seeing for themselves all the joys and challenges that life in Uganda can bring.
Much more than a package holiday, our trips are wonderful for people of all ages and will provide you with unforgettable experiences and memories that you will treasure for life. We will work hard to tailor your trip to meet your individual needs.

Amigos has been assessed and certified to British Standards BS 8848. This means all our systems and procedures ensuring that we offer safe and professionally run trips have been verified by an external company who are experts in adventurous travel. We place safety as our number one priority. Our Ugandan staff have gained a great deal of experience in supporting visiting groups and know exactly what is needed for a safe and enjoyable experience.
The following documents relate to school and group visits and relate to trip procedures, policies, risk assessment and forms that might need completing. They can be downloaded for information or for printing. Please contact us or your group coordinator for more information.
Amigos have been running school trips since 2009 without a significant incident. From the moment of collection at the airport in Entebbe we ensure the group safety is the priority. Uganda has been a safe and stable country for many years now. The groups stay on Kira Farm which is on a secure compound with security guards 24/7. Outside of Kira we travel with a fully vetted transport company who operate safe vehicles with vetted drivers. Any accommodation is in a secure compound and has been used many times before. Amigos have been signed off by an external verifier against BS 8848 – the standards that show safe trips are being run. All our policies, risk assessments and other documentation can be found on our website to demonstrate our comprehensive approach to safety.
