2025 marks 25 years since Amigos began, and we are looking forward to celebrating!
As part of our plans for marking the year, we are offering our supporters the opportunity to join us on a very special trip to Uganda running from 8th-19th May 2025.
As well as being part of a special celebration on Kira Farm, the trip will provide a unique opportunity to hear stories and see first-hand how and where your support over the years has been used on Kira and in the communities.
There will be lots of time to ask questions, meet the Amigos Uganda team and to travel further afield, including spending time with our community farming groups in northern Uganda. A very nice 24-hour land and river safari at Murchison Falls National Park will feature as part of the experience too!
If you sponsor a family, farming group or Kira trainee through Amigos, this trip could provide a great opportunity to meet them.
Without flights, we are expecting this trip to cost £1,400 per person. The cost will include accommodation, food, water, travel, park entrance fees, etc. You will need travel insurance, a yellow fever inoculation, antimalarials, and a $50 visa.
