About Amigos - supporter stories...

Applegate

Applegate is the UK's number one audited Business to Business Internet Directory.
A family owned business based in Devon, we have been supporting the work of Amigos since Amigos was formed in 2000.
We are proud to commit to regular contributions towards this worthwhile cause. Our employees can also support Amigos throughout the year in a variety of ways, including donating percentages of wage packages every month, paying to dress down and purchasing the beautiful African jewellery and gifts brought over from Uganda.
We will be continuing our support for Amigos during 2012, with many activities already planned including a corporate team entered into the Bath Half Marathon.
We’d like to say a huge well done to Amigos for all of your work and thank you for the great opportunities you are giving us to support you.  www.applegate.co.uk

Brend Hotels:

The Brend Hotels are great supporters of Amigos.  They were instrumental in helping to fund the building of Kira Farm Training Centre. Between April 2006 and March 2010 the Brend Hotels ran a ‘check-out for change’ scheme at Carlyon Bay and the Royal and Fortescue Hotels.  Guests were encorraged to donate an extra £1 per stay which was given to Amigos. Over the four years £30,392 was raised for Amigos which was used to build Kira Farm. www.brend-hotels.co.uk

So, every time you buy their online TEFL courses you are also helping to support the work that Amigos is doing at Kira Farm. www.global-english.com

Saleboards:

The generous support of Saleboards is invaluable to the work of Amigos. Saleboards is an Estate Agents based in Exeter. Every time they sell a property they donate £200 to Amigos (at no extra cost to the buyer or the seller).  Saleboards contributes thousands of pounds to Amigos each year.
"Having been to Uganda and seen the life changing projects which Amigos are currently committed to, I was completely overwhelmed by the difference a few pounds can make to the projects. To stand on Kira Farm before the first students commenced their training, was a privilege and inspiration. The small proportion of our fee which we send over to Uganda really does make a difference in helping to transform the lives of many of those less privileged than ourselves! Trinity Church Barnstaple

Holy Trinity Church, Barnstaple feel very privileged to support the ongoing work of Amigos.  Members of the church have visited the projects in Uganda and have seen first hand the life changing impact of Kira Farm and the Child Sponsorship programme in the lives of many young people who would otherwise have very little opportunity to break out of the cycle of poverty.  Not only do Amigos staff offer practical support but also bring a message of hope through their love and commitment to Jesus Christ. www.trinitybarnstaple.org.uk
