So many ways to give!

We rely on the work of our amazing fundraisers to ensure that all of our projects in Uganda continue to run. We do everything we can to get behind the incredible people who help change lives in Africa by fundraising - whether you need a team of volunteers to man your event, publicity, or a listening ear - do get in touch. We’re open to all wacky and wonderful ideas!

Join the Events Team

We are always on the lookout for people who can organise events, man stalls, greet people and search for gifts and prizes for auctions and raffles. If this sounds like you, please get in touch: or tel: 01271 377664

Hold an Event

Perhaps you’d like to put on your own event? We do our best to support people holding their own fundraising events through helping with publicity via social media and rustling up valuable volunteers to give you a hand. Previous events have included: a fashion show, cycling marathon, a Chinese banquet, a cinema viewing and auction, a quiz night, cake sale, music gig, cream tea, plant sale and a barbeque. If you have a great idea, please let us know and we will do all that we possibly can to get behind you! Make sure you add your event to our Fundraise For Us Page so that our great supporters can find out what you are up to, pledge money towards the event and see all the details!

Organise a Sponsored Event

Raise some money for Amigos and do something incredible at the same time! A sponsored event is a great way to fundraise and many supporters have contributed to Amigos in this way, from swimming 10K in the Dart Estuary, cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End, to doing a pony ride in pyjamas.

Virgin Money Giving is a great place to set up an online fundraising page (search for Amigos Worldwide). Once you have set up a page on there, people can donate on the web, add on Gift Aid and track your progress.

Tom Matthew is currently running 100 miles in 5 days for Amigos! He's running to and from school and ending each day with an ice bath!

The Barefoot Climbers (almost!)
School students Freya and Callum have been on quite a fundraising journey raising money for their trip to Uganda - and some extra for Amigos. This month they completed a climb on Scafell Pike in the freezing cold.
'Walking up Scafell Pike for over 8 hours was really hard - an uphill struggle!' says Freya. 'We couldn't do it barefoot as planned because there was snow on the ground! But we are going to climb Snowdon in the summer and promise to get our boots off then!'
The twins have saved £900 each from their Saturday job wages and have raised over £900 on their virginmoneygivingpage Watch this space and we'll let you know when barefoot Snowdon happens!

Previous sponsored events:
Sarah Blight organised a sponsored dog walking event and raised £1,270
Freya Roberts and her friends raised £272.20 when they did a sponsored pony ride through Woolacombe in their pyjamas!

You're never too young - or too old - to fundraise!

This is a picture of a woman smiling in front of a black background Emily Catchpool and her grandma, Elaine Bishop, have raised an incredible £9803 for Amigos over the last 10 years. Emily started making greeting cards for Amigos at the age of 12 and her wonderful grandma would sell them for her. They make a great team and we're hugely appreciative of their hard work.

Finally, thank you for fundraising for Amigos. We appreciate every supporter and every penny you raise - together we can create lasting change.
